KERT Landscaping Ltd. is a business in the Tri-City area. This third-generation landscaper is equally committed to quality work, traditional European craftsmanship, and timely project completion.

Steven is the oldest son of Fred Eglsaer, hailing from Montreal. Steven has been involved in the landscaping profession since 1987 when he started working for the family-owned and managed company called KERT Landscape Ltd. KERT Landscape Ltd. has been, and still is a very reputable business, providing superior service to Montreal and surrounding areas since 1962. They are a fully licensed and insured landscape design and installation company in the summer and a premium snow removal company in the winter.

KERT Landscaping Ltd. has been serving many landmarks such as the Champlain Regional College, Montreal Children’s Hospital, Verdun Hospital and Alexander Hospitals for many years. Over the years, Fred has shown his sons a formula for success that works - quality workmanship at a competitive price and a passion for professionalism. During his tenure in his father’s company, Steven worked as a general laborer with the extra duties of hiring and supervising crews, overseeing jobs, ordering and delivering materials, excavating, designing plans, and managing finances. In the last quarter of 2005, Steven Eglsaer decided to create his own landscaping company here in British Columbia.

Taking the name "KERT" as a tribute to the original family business that represents the tenets of:

The Douglas College has the largest self-employment program in the Lower Mainland. This program offers entrepreneurs with vision, passion, determination and the willingness to explore new opportunities, practical training, business advice and group support. Since 1995 more than 2300 businesses have been launched through the SE-program.

For this reason, once a year, the Douglas College and their sponsors hold their "Vision of Excellence" Entrepreneur of the Year awards. This is a very special award, recognizing great achievements of local businesses.
